Wharfedale Wharfedale Diamond 220C
- Diamond este cea mai longeviva si de succes serie a producatorului britanic Wharfedale. Lansata in 1982, aceasta serie a oferit intotdeauna calitate remarcabila la un pret atractiv.
- Wharfedale Diamond 200 este cea mai noua varianta a seriei. Principala preocupare a inginerilor de la Wharfedale este imbunatatirea sunetului. Din acest motiv, pentru gama Diamond 200 sunt folosite noile difuzoare cu membrane din tesatura de Kevlar, similare cu cele folosite pentru gama Jade. Crossoverul a fost reproiectat cu componente de calitate superioara, iar magnetii difuzoarelor sunt mai puternici fata de vechea gama. Fata boxei este lacuita, iar finisajele sunt imbunatatite.
- Pentru constructia incintelor, s-a apelat la o tehnologie noua, un sandwich din MDF cu un strat special la mijloc. Rigiditatea incintei este superioara, iar rezonantele interne sunt mult diminuate.
- O alta solutie interesanta este portul de bas-reflex. In locul clasicului tub orientat catre spate sau fata, Diamond 220 C are portul de bas-reflex indreptat catre baza boxei. Astfel, boxele pot fi amplasate fara probleme in apropierea peretilor, dispare efectul de bubuiala dat de bas-reflexul spre spate si nu avem nici inconvenientul unui bas-reflex pe fata (turbulentele din port sunt audibile).
